This week’s sale is a BEDROOM FURNITURE SALE! From Monday, February 24th through Sunday, March 2nd, antique and reproduction dressers, chests of drawers, vanities, nightstands, beds, wardrobes, and headboards, are all 20% off. Like all of our weekly sales, this sale applies to in stock items only.
We’ve been getting lots of requests for items that were sold out from our Nature Form line; we heard you. This past week we received a large shipment from our Nature Form line, including: puzzle boxes in 8 styles, jewelry boxes in 3 sizes, stump vases in 5 sizes, stump bowls, Tiki paddles, large teak hand carved bowls, hand carved wooden animals, maple leaf bowls, lots of puppets, elephant tables, two sizes of the very popular carved teak baskets, skull & coffin boxes, frog croakers, salmon drums, xylophones, dragons[not real dragons carved wooden dragons], child’s animal stools[16 styles are now in stock], Buddhas, 3 sizes of twig motorcycles, an unusual new style of stump vases in 3 sizes, and more. There are photos below of some of these new arrivals. There is likely to be one more shipment from our Nature Form line in May. However, we can’t guarantee the future availability of any of these items. So, if you have your heart set on any of these products, we recommend getting them before they sell out.

This week’s sale; IT’S THE LITLLE THINGS THAT MATTER SALE! From Monday, February 17th through Sunday, February 23rd anything in a china cabinet, curio cabinet, corner cabinet, display cabinet, or flatback, is 20% off. All the small antique items; china, porcelain, crystal, glass, silver, books, etc., etc., will be 20% off. If its not in a cabinet, its not on sale. If its in a cabinet, it’s 20% off, for this week only. This sale applies to antique items only, reproduction items are not part of this sale.
Sometimes shipments show up early, sometimes they arrive late; both happened this past week. Half of our spring shipment of outdoor metal birds and wind spinners arrived this past week. The other half of the shipment has been delayed until mid-March. There are photos below of some of these new arrivals.
We also received a shipment of replica metal signs. Many of our best selling signs were restocked, and there are a few new signs as well. This will most likely be our final sign restock.
Our cast iron book ends were also restocked this past week, the elk are back!

This week’s sale is a Triple Threat Sale! This week, all in stock furniture from our Arcadia, WoW, and Provence lines is 20% off. This sale is valid from Monday February 10th, through Sunday, February 16th. Photos of all three lines can be seen on our Reproductions page.

February 2nd, 2025
This week’s sale is a big one! From Monday February 3rd through Sunday February 9th, all in stock furniture from our WOW and JODHPUR LINES is 20% OFF. This sale applies to in stock pieces only. The WOW and Jodhpur lines have a wide variety of pieces in many different designs, so all in store pieces will be marked with a 20% off tag. Photos of some of these pieces can be seen on our Reproductions page. There are many more WOW and Jodhpur pieces available in store. Some pieces are available boxed in original cartons upon request.
We’ve been receiving many requests for smaller reproduction items that have sold out over the last couple of months. February will be a big month for reproductions new arrivals. Late in February we are expecting a shipment of outdoor metal birds and wind spinners. In the first half of February there is a large shipment arriving from our Nature Form line; and a restock of many of our best selling replica tin signs. As we are closing to the general public in the fall, this will be the final restock of most of these reproduction items. All smaller[non furniture] reproduction items are available while quantities last.

This week’s sale is a MIRRORS AND LIGHTING SALE. From Monday, January 27th through Sunday February 2nd all in stock MIRRORS AND LIGHTING is 20% OFF. This sale applies to wall mirrors, shaving mirrors, Chevelle mirrors, table lamps, floor lamps, chandeliers, wall sconces, ceiling light fixtures, and oil lamps. This sale does not apply to furniture that is sold with mirror[s]. For example, dresser and mirror sets are not part of this sale. Bedroom sets that include mirrors are also not on sale.
Sales of our reclaimed wood Irish Coast line have exploded since we announced our eventual closing to the general general. Several pieces in the line have already sold out. However, we are still excepting orders for the Irish Coast line, until the end of June. A shipment of orders for our customers arrived this past week. We decided to add a few extra pieces to the order. We now have the Irish Coast medium dining table, and the Irish Coast three drawer nightstands temporarily back in stock, with limited quantities. This week’s sale is 20% off all in stock SPRINGWATER WOODCRAFT furniture. Springwater Woodcraft furniture is made of solid sustainably sourced Ontario pine, and manufactured in Springwater Ontario. Springwater is one of our oldest suppliers and this is the first sale we’ve ever offered on Springwater products. This sale applies to in stock Springwater pieces only, orders do not apply.

Highlights from the new arrivals include: three nice pairs of antique bookends, a cool large working neon sign, and from our Jodhpur line, the Kalida dining table-a 7foot long mango wood marquetry top cast iron base dining table.

This week’s sale is a SIDEBOARD SALE! From Monday, January 13th through Sunday, January 19th we are offering 20% off on all in stock antique and reproduction sideboards. This sale applies to in stock sideboards only. All sideboards will be marked with a 20% off tag.
A few photos of new arrival are below. We’ve been sorting through boxes of antique paper products lately; newspapers, postcards, magazines, photos, calendars, books, etc.. They’ve been selling well, so we will keep sorting through them, and putting more out on display.

Since many of us need a break after the holidays, this week’s sale is a SIT ON IT SALE! From Monday, January 6th through Sunday, January 12th anything that is intended for sitting is 20% off. This sale is valid for in stock items only, and does not apply to special orders. For this week, and this week only, all chairs, sofas, loveseats, settees, benches, and stools are 20% off. Items that can be sat on, but are not designed for sitting are not part of this sale. Yes, you can sit on a coffee table, no coffee tables are not on sale. You get the idea.
It’s been very busy since we announced our eventual closing to the general public. Getting photos of new arrivals isn’t a priority these days. However, we did manage to grab a few photos which are below. Silver plated flatware and holloware have been selling like crazy over the last month, so we put out lots more. We also put on display collections of photos, prints, small military items, and lots of antique furniture.

Our WE PAY THE HST SALE, is still valid for today and tomorrow. Which means for two days only you can get 20% off and no HST for the entire line of Provence reclaimed wood furniture. When the calendar turns to 2025, our WE PAY THE HST SALE is over.

Understandably we’ve been getting asked a lot of questions regarding the big announcement we made last of week. The question we are being asked most is, will there still be new arrivals? The answer to that question is yes, there will be new arrivals daily for many months to come. Below are a few photos of new arrivals from the past couple weeks. New arrivals highlights worth noting include an eight piece walnut Anthes Baetz bedroom set, and from our Jodhpur line, the Millbrea four door bookcase.

The Barn is Closing to the General Public in 2025
Frank, the long time owner of The Barn, is ready to retire. We’ve decided to restructure our business and close our retail operations. We want to thank our many loyal customers for their decades of support. We know many of our customers will be disappointed by this decision. However, it is time for us to move in a new direction, and we hope everyone will respect our decision.
The Barn will close to the general public before the end of 2025. In 2026 and beyond, The Barn will operate as a prop warehouse for film, television, and streaming productions, and the building will be used for production shoots. We will not be open to the general public beyond 2025. An exact closing to the general public date will be announced in the second half of 2025.
As many of our loyal retail customers know, our retail store is not the only aspect of our business. Our business began as a wholesale business, we continue to supply other antique dealers as well as some online stores and auctions. We also supply props and furniture to film & television productions, and we rent out The Barn for production shoots. All aspects of our business will continue in 2026 and beyond, except for our retail store. After we close to the general public, The Barn will be open by appointment only, for set decoration buyers, location scouts, and selected wholesale clients only. We will not have opening hours for the general public, nor will we open to the general public by appointment.
After we close our retail store, we may at some point occasionally open to the general public for a one or two-day sale. However, we have no plans to ever return to having regular hours for retail customers. Operating a retail store like ours is a tremendous time commitment, and we are no longer able to make that time commitment. All announcements related to openings and closings will be made on the What’s New page of this website.
Lots of big changes are coming. To begin, we will be having the first sale in our history. For the remainder of 2024 we will pay the HST on all in stock items! Then starting in 2025 we will have a different sale every week until we close. All this will be on top of our already low prices.
The Barn has been around for so long that we have fourth generation customers. Great grandparents who shopped at The Barn in the 1970’s are brining in their great grandkids to purchase items. We know closing to the general public will be upsetting news for many of our customers. About once a month, one of our customers tells us that The Barn is their favorite store. We truly appreciate those sentiments, and we know some tears will be shed over our closing. Market changes, changes in retail habits and expectations, increased government bureaucracy, and the fact that we are a small family business and are just getting older, are all factors that made our decision to close our retail operations inevitable. For us it just feels like the right time to move on. Again, we would like to thank our many loyal customers for their years, and in many cases, decades of support. There is still some time left, so stop in and say hello, or goodbye as it may be.
Below are some questions related to these big changes, with answers.
When will The Barn close to the general public?
The honest answer is, we don’t know yet, we’ve never done this before. We plan to liquidate a tremendous amount of inventory before we close, and we don’t know how long that will take. We will announce a closing date at some point in the second half of 2025.
Will there still be new arrivals?
Yes, we have thousands of pieces including hundreds of pieces of furniture in storage still to bring in, and there is more on the way. What will change over time is that when we run out of items, they will not be restocked. This is a “get them while they last” situation. Items will not be restocked once we sell out.
Can I still place an order?
Yes, we will continue to accept orders until the end of June 2025. If you want to order a piece from Springwater Woodcraft, Arcadia, Nature Form, or any of our reclaimed wood furniture lines, we will do our best to fulfill all orders. After June 30th, 2025, we will no longer accept any orders. Starting in July 2025, only pieces that are on display will be offered. All sale prices will apply to in stock items only, sale prices will not apply to orders.
Are you liquidating all inventory?
No, our business will continue after we close our retail store, so we are not liquidating. However, some items we carry are mostly for our retail clientele. So, certain product lines will be liquidated, others will not. We also need additional space in the building to accommodate production shoots. So, there will be a significant reduction in inventory before we close.
Are you accepting offers on items?
No, we’ve always had fixed prices at The Barn, that will continue. Some customers want to negotiate on items, some customers don’t. We’ve always believed that having the same price for all our retail customers was the fairest option. However, there will be sales, see below.
Will there be any sales?
Yes, we have tons of inventory to liquidate before we close to the general public. To help that along we’ve decided to have a different sale, bonus offer, or giveaway, every week in 2025, until we close. Every Monday morning, we will post the week’s sale on the What’s New page on this website. We will also have a sign in store with every week’s sale. We are going to have some fun with this, some of the sales are going to be weird, stay tuned.
Will there be outdoor/garden new arrivals for Spring 2025?
Yes, we have a big batch of reproduction outdoor metal birds and wind spinners that is due to arrive in February. Plus, lots of antique outdoor items ready to bring in once the weather warms up. But this will be the last year of spring outdoor new arrivals. Once we run out of stock, that will be the end.
