We are past Halloween, which means we are putting out lots of items for holiday entertaining. If you want to have a fancy diner party we’ve got you covered with: platters, entrée dishes, cake servers, chafing dishes, deviled egg serving trays-yes people still do that, carving sets, cutlery, bowls galore, vases, candelabras, glasses for every kind of alcohol you wish to imbibe, even knife rests-if you want to get really fancy. Antique furniture arrivals this week include: a rifle cabinet, mahogany night stand and lamp table, small Asian black lacquered cabinet, funky Queen Ann faux gilt end table, 4 drawer file cabinet, pair of walnut side chairs, sewing cabinet, Eastlake needlepoint chair, dropleaf fax table, oak office desk, rush seat stools and bench, set of 6 oak dinning chairs, 4 panel folding screen in excellent condition-a photo is attached, small open bookcase, unusual primitive coffee table with carved sides, and more. More arrivals include: 14 cups and saucers, an assortment of tools, lots of Limoges pieces, a bunch of silver plate pieces, 2 barn lanterns, wine jugs, Wedgwood pieces, assorted crocks, primitive flour scoop and butter bowls, a silver plate meat dome for those with flare, miniature brass pieces, pair of Tiffany style table lamps, crystal chandelier, a lot of newspapers 1930’s to 1960’s, a very cool oversized “Golden leaves Canada’s past” booklet from Canada’s centennial, and lots of assorted smalls. And the award for most unusual item of the week goes to a handblown pigeon’s blood crystal pear.
